To date, the deposit consists of four lenses of rich copper-zinc mineralization over 450 metres, two of which outcrop on surface. Spectacular copper intersections, e.g. 2.5% Cu over 34.1 metres, 2.7% Cu over 36.2 metres and 7.9% Cu over 7.5 metres, were found in previous drilling.

The work performed by Esso Minerals, which culminated in 1983 with a resource estimate of 1.5 to 2.0 million tonnes of 1.5% Cu and 4% Zn, in addition to the recent work performed by Puma Exploration, allows the company to establish an exploration target of 7–10 million tonnes with a grade ranging between 1.0% and 1.5% Cu, including a copper-rich section of 2 to 3 million tonnes with a grade ranging between 2.0% and 2.5% Cu.
