Responsible Exploration
Sustainable development is an integral part of all activities at Puma. Protecting the environment, maintaining biodiversity, respecting and including communities, and prioritizing healthy and transparent governance is at the heart of all decisions.
Environment

Our Team
Marcel Robillard, P.Geo.
President and Chief Executive Officer, Director
Mr. Robillard became President and CEO of Puma in 2010. He is currently a Director of Canadian Copper Inc. (CCI:CSE). From 1998 to 2007, Marcel held the position of Project Geologist and Project Manager at Géominex, a geology and exploration consulting Company, before taking on the role of President from 2007 to 2015. Marcel has a B.Sc. in Geology and an M.Sc. in Earth Sciences from the Université du Québec à Montreal, Canada.
Dominique Gagné, P.Geo.
Chief Geologist
Mr. Gagné is an exploration geologist with over 17 years of experience working on grassroots to advanced exploration projects in Eastern Canada. Dominique developed his expertise in exploration techniques, GIS, and various deposit types through his work at DeBeers Canada, Xstrata, IamGold, Consorem, and Resource Appalaches. He runs Geominex, a consulting company that provides geological services to clients in exploration and mining and has led the Puma technical team since 2013. Dominique holds a B.Sc. in Geology and a certificate in GIS from the Université du Québec à Montreal, Canada. He is registered with the Ordre des géologues du Québec and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick.
Ginette Gosselin Brisson
Chief Financial Officer
Mrs. Brisson is an accountant with more than 40 years of experience working with and auditing public sector companies. Ginette joined Puma in 2014. She was previously Chief Financial Officer of Appalaches Resources, Inc. Ginette is a graduate of the University of Quebec at Rimouski (UQAR).
Mia Boiridy, M.Sc.
Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Development
Ms. Boiridy is a senior executive with 30 years of experience in corporate management, with the last ten years focused on the junior resource sector. She led Investor Relations and Corporate Development at several Canadian junior exploration companies. She was most recently President & CEO of MacDonald Mines Exploration Ltd., a junior exploration company headquartered in Toronto. Mia joined Puma in December 2021. She holds a BSc. in Geology and an M.Sc. in Geochemistry from McGill University, Canada.
Dr. Laura Araneda
Director
Dr. Araneda is CEO of HIT Drilling and has been in the mining and drilling industry for over 20 years. Laura is very active in her home province of New Brunswick. She guides and mentors education, business, and mining organizations and possesses an enviable professional network of contacts in Atlantic Canada and across the country. Laura graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Business Administration, completed an Entrepreneurial Leadership Program and was awarded a Doctorate in 2014. She's been named Canada's 100 Top Female Entrepreneur for four consecutive years.
Jacques Dion
Director
Mr. Dion has more than 30 years of experience in environmental assessment, the management and transportation of hazardous materials, as well as emergency spill response planning. Following the Lac-Mégantic rail disaster, he was Project Director for recovering and treating petroleum hydrocarbon impacted water. He was involved in 4 major northern military site clean-up projects: Resolution Island, FOX-C, Cape Christian, and Cape Dyer. Mr. Dion also designed a solid waste management plan for the City of Iqaluit. He is a Board member and founder of Avataani Environmental Services with a local Nunavik partner. He also acted as Vice-President and Board member for 14 years with Qikiqtaaluk Environmental Services, an Inuit firm located in Iqaluit.
Michel Fontaine
Director
Mr. Fontaine is a private investor, entrepreneur, and independent board member with over two decades of experience working in the mining sector. Michel worked at Merrill Lynch and BMO Nesbitt Burns as a financial advisor before founding Windfall Geotek (TSXV: WIN), a public software firm, in 2005. Windfall Geotek leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to optimize and significantly improve exploration, development, operations, and financing outcomes in the mining sector. Michel was previously a director of Metanor, Majescor, Everton and AEMQ.
Réjean Gosselin
Director & Executive Chairman of the Board
Mr. Gosselin has worked in the mining sector for over 42 years serving as CEO and Director for various Canadian junior mining companies. In 1980, he co-founded with Jean Descarreaux Claude Resources that Silver Standard acquired for $450M in 2016. Réjean was President & CEO of Diabras Exploration (now Sierra Metals) that reopened the Bolivar Zn-Cu mine and the Cusi Silver mine in Chihuahua, Mexico and discovered a Cu-Au-Fe skarn-hosted deposit adjacent to the Bolivar mine. The three mines are still in operation today. In 2007, Réjean formed Maya Gold & Silver and served as its President and CEO before becoming Chairman of the Board until 2017. Now Aya Gold & Silver, Maya is a 1-Billion market cap company with projects in Morocco and Mauritania. He also formed and led Origin Gold Corporation (now O2Gold) with projects in Colombia from 2015 to 2020. Réjean became a Director at Puma in 2020 and was recently appointed Executive Chairman. Réjean holds a Master's Degree in Geology from Laval University, Canada.
Richard Thibault, P.Eng.
Director
Mr. Thibault is a professional engineer with over 42 years of mining experience in engineering, operations, management and consulting in North and South America and Southeast Asia. He is currently the President and Principal at Avot Consulting Inc., a private company that provides mine engineering services to clients in South America. He has worked in Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, Peru, the United States and Venezuela. Richard was previously the Vice-President and Director of Mines at Muzo Columbia; the Chief Operating Officer, Mining at Malaysia Smelting Company Bhd., Senior General Manager of its subsidiary Rahman Hydraulic Tin Sdn. Bhd.; and Chief Executive Officer and Director of Antioquia Gold Inc. He currently serves as a director of Argentex Mining Corporation (TSXV: ATX) and the private companies XACT Contracting Services Ltd. and The AVOT Group. He holds a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Queen's University, Canada.

Mackenzie (Mac) Watson
Advisor
Mr. Watson, B.Sc., P.Eng., has over 50 years of experience in exploration, development, and operations in the junior mining industry. Notably, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Lynx Canada Exploration Ltd. until 1985. He was Chief Executive Officer of Freewest Resources Canada Inc. from 1985 until its acquisition by Cliffs Natural Resources in 2010. Mr. Watson was the first person to receive the Bill Dennis Award for a "Canadian Discovery or Prospecting Success" twice: first in 1991 for numerous discoveries; and again in 2009 as part of the team responsible for chromite discoveries in the Ring of Fire. He was also awarded the "Quebec Prospector of the Year" Award in 1992 for his participation in discovering the Pusticamica and Verneuil gold deposits in Quebec. In January 2015, Mr. Watson was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.
Dr. Jean-Paul Lacasse
Advisor
Jean-Paul Lacasse is a lawyer and professor emeritus at the University of Ottawa who's authored several books and articles on mining and indigenous peoples' laws. He has worked with government organizations, businesses, mining exploration companies, university administrations and indigenous communities. A strong advocate for First Nations' people, he has represented the latter on many occasions regarding the development and production of the resources of their territory. Mr. Lacasse has served on the Board of Directors of several mining exploration companies.
Dr. Simon Dominy
Advisor
Dr. Simon Dominy is a mining professional whose career has included technical and leadership roles in mine operations, academia, and consulting. Simon has expertise in the evaluation and exploitation of various gold orebody styles; ore characterization; design and implementation of bulk sampling/trial mining programmes; evaluation of high-nugget effect/coarse-gold deposits; and narrow vein/highly selective mining methods.
Jean-David Moore
Advisor
Mr. Moore has been a consultant and advisor to several mineral exploration and development companies for over fifteen years. He holds a degree in Forestry Engineering and a Master’s from Laval University in Québec City, Canada. He is a member of the Order of Forest Engineers of the Province of Québec (OIFQ) and has published more than 70 scientific publications in different international journals.
